About John

“Remember this. Hold on to this. This is the only perfection there is, the perfection of helping others. This is the only thing we can do that has any lasting meaning. This is why we're here. To make each other feel safe.”  –  Andre Agassi

While it may seem strange that this section starts with a quote by a tennis player, the quote captures John’s motivation and passion.  His career has been in the service of others.   While admittedly terrible at tennis, John has served in the US Navy, managed teams in the semi-conductor industry, led and consulted on large cross functional change initiatives in the pharma industry and founded his own consulting practice.

With a little humor, a lot of empathy, understanding and hard work, John helps organizations think through and deliver on their most important changes.

John employs a practical approach with his clients.  It is built upon years of working with others and understanding what challenges and drives leadership teams, managers, project teams large and small.  There is no fluff there, and the work is based on solid, well researched models and approaches.  He specializes in organizational conundrums; Organizational improvements, changes to strategy, structure, teams, work processes, tools, culture, and people planning.  He is as comfortable designing organizations, workshops and training material as he is in facilitating and delivering them.

John holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.  He maintains an ongoing curiosity about change and how organizations and individuals can make the most of changes in a constantly evolving world.  John’s blogs appear on his website and on
